Automotive repair in Spokane, under one roof
Everything below is handled at one shop on East Trent Avenue by ASE-certified technicians — passenger cars, European makes, diesel pickups and Class 8 semi-trucks, plus DOT inspections and fleet work. The catalogue is wide on purpose, and it has been since 2010.
Which service you need is usually obvious from the symptom, and the pages below are written to help you work that out before you call: what each fault typically sounds or feels like, what the repair actually involves, and what tends to drive it in this climate. If you are not sure which one applies, describe the symptom on the phone and we will tell you.
What Spokane does to vehicles
Vehicles here take a specific kind of punishment, and it shows up in what we repair. The magnesium chloride brine used on roads through winter is corrosive, and we see brake hardware, suspension fasteners and electrical connectors seize or fail from rust years earlier than they would in a drier climate. Freeze-thaw cycles open up potholes every spring, which is hard on suspension and steering components and on wheels and tires. The grades on the South Hill and Sunset Hill mean sustained braking rather than occasional stops. And deep cold is hard on batteries and brutal on untreated diesel fuel, which is why the majority of our winter call-outs are diesels that will not start rather than engines that have genuinely failed.
How we quote work
You get the problem diagnosed, explained in plain language, and priced in writing before anyone picks up a tool. If we find something beyond what you came in for, you hear about it before we do it. If something can safely wait until your next visit, we say so rather than bundling it in — you should be able to plan what you spend on a vehicle instead of being surprised by it.
We also try to be honest about the jobs we should not take. If a repair costs more than the vehicle is worth, or a used vehicle you are considering is not worth buying, that is more useful to you than an estimate. Our pre-purchase inspection exists for exactly that reason.
Car repair, diesel and commercial
On the car side we cover oil and routine service, brakes, transmissions, check engine lights and driveability faults, air conditioning and heating, electrical faults, tires and engine repair, on domestic, Asian and European makes.
On the commercial side we handle heavy-duty and semi-truck repair, annual DOT inspections with the repairs done in the same visit, and scheduled fleet maintenance built around how your equipment actually runs. For vehicles that cannot easily come to us, or when getting to a shop costs more in lost time than the repair itself, we offer mobile service across the greater Spokane area and North Idaho.
